From the station of Pinzano, following the CAI 822 signpost, you will reach the Germanic Memorial and the ruins of the castle with the belvedere and then continue along the path to Pontaiba, until the confluence of the Arzino and Tagliamento rivers. From here you continue as far as the municipal sports ground where, by contacting the Scuola Kayak Friuli (www.scuolakayakfriuli.com – 3484743915) you can continue by water, for the descent to the Casa della Barca. The river route by kayak or packraft is about 2.5 km.
Particularly interesting is the point where the two rivers meet: you can see how the waters do not mix, due to the difference in specific weight caused by the sediments.
The water part of the excursion can only be done under certain conditions, which are assessed by the staff of the Scuola Kayak Friuli.
